For the past ten years we have been developing the first native woodland scheme in Ireland. This project involved the restoration of the existing woodlands and the creation of new adjoining woodlands.
The project is being developed with the use of traditional crafts and woodland skills such as coppicing, hedge-laying and dry stone walling. As well as offering these courses on site, we also will have opportunities to get work experience on these crafts working alongside highly skilled native woodland craft’s people.
